General Information:
Expressway from HCMC to Can Tho is a part of North-South expressway axis. Prior - Viability researching report was approved by Minister in May, 2015.
This route always serves one of the greatest amount of traffic all over Vietnam.
The expressway has been currently building 40km completely from HCMC to Trung Luong.
Finishing expressway from HCMC to Can Tho, investment in the rest on Trung Luong-My Thuan route and My Thuan-Can Tho route, in particular, contribute to forming the route network in developing and completing nationwide route network program.
Follow Minister’s leading words on deploying BOT projects on transportations, BIDV Vietnam has been delegated to establish expressway Trung Luong – My Thuan - Can Tho investment company as a BOT company.
BIDV Expressway Development Joint Stock (BEDC) was founded to invest and construct Expressway from Trung Luong to Can Tho.
On the basis of suggesting project passed by Ministry of Transports (Document 343/QĐ-BGTVT on Feb 4th, 2008), Transportation TVTK Company carried out Expressway Trung Luong – My Thuan - Can Tho project.
The project was assessed by Ministry of Transports (Document 7910/BGTVT-KHĐT on Oct 28th , 2008) and was approved by BEDC Board of Directors (Document 007/QĐ-HĐQT on March, 26th, 2009).
The projects has complied with route directions, cross-section scale, scale and location of bridges and intersections in project plan as well as in assessment report by Ministry of Transports.
On the basis of suggestions by BEDC, Minister has approved the separating project into projects with different investors and different forms of investment:
- Trung Luong – My Thuan Expressway in form of BOT, the investor is BEDC. The project started on November 29th, 2009 and BEDC approved to adjust the project with Document 021/QĐ-HĐQT on January 11th, 2010.
- My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway, the investor is My Thuan Project Management (now is Cuu Long CIPM). Project was approved by Ministry of Transports at Document 650/QĐ-BGTVT on April 4th, 2011
